It's hard to determine the reason for this fault without more information, but if the hybrid battery doesn't have sufficient charge when starting then the system will not operate. We would suggest taking your car to your dealer or a local garage to have it assessed if you think the system is not working properly.
If you cover no more than 100 miles per day and have easy access to a charging point at home or work, then an EV is ideal for you.
