I had a no-fault accident - should I let the third party's insurance deal with the claim?

My car was hit from behind while I was driving. Unfortunately, the cars became attached on my tow bar so I had to call my insurance company to get someone out to detach the cars which were both driveable. Now the other party's insurance company wants to take over the claim. Their party has admitted full liability. Their letter states that dealing with them only will not affect my premiums next year or my no claims discount. I am unhappy with the pace of repairs to my car through my insurance company but I am not sure if it would cause me problems to go through the other parties insurance company.

When dealing with your own insurer, should you not be happy, you can complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Claiming via the other party directly you do not have this right. Going through the other party's insurance will not speed up how fast your car gets repaired. If they have admitted liability, it should make no difference whatsoever. Your policy should remain the same claiming via your own insurer as it would claiming via the other party, if it doesn't you need to claim this increased premium from the other party.
