Excellent for a small SUV.

Bought my Arona to replace my Skoda Yeti. Originally was looking at a Seat Ateca but found it way bigger than my Yeti. Test drove the Arona & found it to be nippy, comfortable & refined. Recently returned from a 1000 mile tour of the West Country & have to say I am mightily impressed. The car returned an indicated 57mpg on both the journey down & back. On brimming with unleaded, I calculated this to be over 54mpg which is phenomenal for a petrol engine.
I had no problems with the engine's power on the motorway & the wind noise journalists mention never materialised. In fact the car is quieter than my old Yeti on the motorway. The 3 cylinder engine is characterful & apart from a little vibration on setting off, is nice to use & if revved up to 5000rpm (70mpg in 3rd gear) is quite sporty sounding.
Negatives;- It's a shame there's no lumbar support as it needs it on long journeys & although the suspension is quite refined it does not have as much absorption over potholes & speed humps as my old Yeti, although it is very quiet on motorways.
Positives;- Very economical, nippy engine even though only 95bhp, lovely positive gearbox & it handles extremely well. Infotainment system is 1st class.
