Disappointing

Great reviews from Honest John. Great test drive so my wife bought this car. Long term ownership experience however was frustrating.
On the one hand the positives were excellent reliability from 9 years ownership - not one mechanical fault. But then most Japanese non "premium" cars are like this. BUT
On the other hand:
Lexus service charges were very expensive especially with the fact that the car needs new tyres every 10,000 miles!! Despite numerous wheel balance settings and of course Lexus denied that anything was wrong....
Heavy fuel consumption - especially around town.
Badly corroded alloy wheels.
For these reasons would never buy another Lexus or recommend one - and I generally like Japanese cars.......... despite the fact that most car magazines don't like them.
