Astra 1.3cdti - Astra 1.3cdti lack of boost - Northy14

HI All

Have searched lots of forums but yet to find definitive answer. Had the oil, fuel and air filter changed and after it, after a low buzzing noise from boost solenoid, the turbo stopped boosting and car became sluggish (don't think it was limp mode) Read the codes and were to do with MAF and EGR. Cleaned EGR and replaced MAF. Still doing same thing, sometimes with/without buzzing noise.

If I switch it off for 1 minute and then back on it solves problem, but then if it goes below 2000 revs it comes back. The buzzing definitely comes from the boost solenoid, as it stops when tapped.

After replacing MAF got engine code 0107. Going to clean MAP sensor and put turbo cleaner through it.

Does anyone have any other ideas - or should I just change boost solenoid and MAF.

This will have the Fiat mutijet engine.I would check the turbo waste gate actuator linkage.Not unknown for these to seize up.

Cheers for the reply - is it easy to get to, would you suggest spraying with a lot of WD 40

Not too difficult,it’s at the front of the engine.wd or similar will be ok.just remember this area gets hot ,so be careful.
