Should I get a diesel Skoda Kodiaq if I only do 7500 miles per year?

I’m thinking of buying a Skoda Kodiaq. Not sure whether to go for the 150PS petrol or diesel variant, particularly with the current anti-diesel campaign. I prefer diesels but then I only do approx 7500 miles annually. Taking into consideration cost premium of a diesel model over petrol (£1800), fuel consumption, car tax and depreciation - what would you recommend?

Unless you will be towing with it, go for petrol.
