Is the Toyota Yaris as reliable as the Volkswagen Polo?

I don't do much mileage and want a car to last a long time. I've seen a 2015 Volkswagen Polo with less than 3000 miles on clock. I'm wondering if a Toyota Yaris will be as reliable as a Polo. I'm trading in a Volkswagen Golf so would I get a better part exchange price from Volkswagen?

The average Yaris is generally far more reliable than the average Polo. The answer to your last question depends how old the Golf is. If it's too old for stock it will simply be traded out so makes no difference whether traded in at a Volkswagen dealer or any other dealer.
