Should I get a petrol Peugeot 308 or a Toyota Auris Hybrid?

I'm waiting to view and test drive a Peugeot 308 Allure 1.2 (130) auto that is being moved to a more local dealership. It's a 2015 reg with only 4000 miles for £10,400. It looks a lovely car but I have also seen a 2013 Toyota Auris Hybrid Excel with 36,000miles for £10,000. You rate both cars quite highly. I mainly dive in the city and probably a max of 10 miles a day at the moment. I take a 240 mile journey about three to four rimes a year. My sensible head say the Auris is best for my type of driving but then I think I don't do that many miles so it doesnt really matter. Can you please help me make my mind up between the two?

The 308 1.2 PureTech 130 is much nicer to drive, handles better, has a fun factor and can still do 50mpg. It is possible to get 60mpg or more from the Auris hybrid, but it can't really be described as fun to drive. It's better on the 17-inch wheels than on the 15-inch wheels. Feels the bumps more but goes round corners better and is more stable.
Dear Honest John,
