Cam again
The camshaft of my 2005/55 Vauxhall Meriva snapped in two causing extensive damage to the engine and also nearly causing a major accident. Has anybody else had these problems?

Thousands have. In Meriva, Tigra and Corsa 1.4s and 1.2s. It's because the camshaft retaining bolts slacken. They need re-torquing at each service. If your car has been serviced by a Vauxhall dealer, the dealer is liable. If it has been serviced independently, then your case is harder to make.
