What is the best small petrol car for towing a maximum of 750kg?

Most cars will be able to tow 750kg, provided they can be fitted with a tow bar. As a guide, a trailer should not exceed 85 percent of the car's kerb weight. That means you'll be looking at cars that weigh more than around 880kg. A Honda Jazz is a very reliable and practical little car that can be fitted with a tow bar. Also consider the latest Ford Fiesta or SEAT Ibiza - both are capable of towing 750kg.
