  • Ford KA 2002 - Snapped spark plug - whose liability? 29 Nov 2010 (Forum)
Hi everyone I'm new to this Forum, and relatively new to driving, having only passed my test in July. I would be grateful for any advice you could offer. I recently took my Ford KA for a service, and was told that one of the spark plugs was tight - the man performing the service did not feel comfortable removing it with the tools at his disposal. He recommended that I take it to a Ford garage, which I duly did.

  • Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - 06 1.8 What is the correct battery spec? 17 Dec 2009 (Forum)
Trying to work out the correct battery spec for my Focus 56 plate 1.8 TDCi. The original Ford one is rated 80Ah. Spoke to Ford who say that it is not covered under warranty and they listed 4 different types. The most expensive being the 80Ah one at about £140. Must I use exactly the same rating and is calcium type battery critical?
  • Ford Focus III (2008 - ) - Questions about crash-damaged Focus 11 Aug 2009 (Forum)
Can my parents, as the victims (it was 100% the fault of the other driver) expect to be able to buy another Ford Focus diesel of similar mileage and age and condition and be reimbursed for the cost, rather than have to take delivery of their damaged and repaired car? 2. When selling a damaged and repaired car, is there a good chance it won't fetch what it would have if it had not been damaged?
  • Ford Fiesta (2002 - 2008) - good price? 20 Feb 2009 (Forum)
Personally, I favour the Sirion - I like its odd-ball looks and 5 year warranty - but I think she may go for the Fiesta as it's more mainstream and is probably easiest to drive plus loads of Ford garages. Anyway, what do you guys think of the following deal from a Ford garage - 2008 plate 1.25 Fiesta Style Climate 5dr with reverse sensors (which SWMBO really likes) in a nice metallic red for £7k?
  • Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 2001 1.6 Intermittent starting delay 21 Jan 2009 (Forum)
Hi everyone, I have just purhcased a used 2001 Ford Focus 1.6 zetec (38k miles) and it is covered by a comprehensive warranty but it is a distance away and I want to see if I can sort the problem out myself without having to go back to the place I bought it from and hope that someone might have a suggestion as to what the problem is.
  • Ford Focus III (2008 - ) - 2008 1.6 Gear box problem 23 Nov 2008 (Forum)

  • Ford Galaxy (1995 - 2006) - Too good to be true? 2 Feb 2008 (Forum)
I've just bought a car (but not paid yet) off fleabay. Its a 2002 FORD GALAXY GHIA 1.9 TDI AUTO (82600 miles) for £5500 I've HPI'd it and it came back OK. It said the Estimated market value is £8,112. The condition sounds pretty good with a few minor knocks/ scuffs (Its a 6 year old car so it will have a few).
  • Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - (98-04) 1.8 Zetec - noise from engine compartment 24 Dec 2007 (Forum)
I have a question concerning a Ford Focus 1.8 ZETEC E which has done 71 000 miles. The problem is that when the engine is cold and I am in neutral and I rev the engine up to say 2000 rpm and listen as the revs come down, at about 1250 rpm there is a hissing type sound which is not there at any other rpm.

  • Good deal? Ford Focus... 15 Sep 2005 (Forum)
You may know from my other posts I have been looking at changing my car. Anyway, went to see what Ford could do today as was very impressed with the New Focus I had as a hire car for two days. At least as good as the BMW 118d I tried a few days back in my opinion. They are trying to offer me the following: Ford New Focus 1.6 TDCi Zetec Climate with the optional 17" alloys and metallic paint for £14500.
  • Ford Focus suspension failure 27 Apr 2005 (Forum)
Should I have a detailed discussion with my dealer regarding a disappointment that a car less than 4 years old with below average mileage should have such a major failure? (P.S The vehicle has been religiously serviced at Ford, including its MOT and has had no modifications) Carse
  • Mondeo pig in a poke 14 Sep 2004 (Forum)
Ford agreed (over the phone) and asked I should arrange with the main dealer. The Focus was duly serviced yesterday and Ford then refused to pay, saying they have no record of the agreement to swop the service and it is not Company policy to do so.They have refused to change their mind today and the main agent who is wholly on my side has got nowhere with Ford.I am now a VERY annoyed customer.Do any of you wise people have any suggestions as to how I should proceed as I am not letting go of this issue.
  • Thanks to Ford 3 Sep 2004 (Forum)
I have a two year old Mondeo Ghia X TDCi, it has not been entirely trouble free though I guess not too bad over nearly 80k miles, had a recent issue which I contacted Ford Customer Services about (Glasgow), they liased with the dealer and myself, I really felt they were on my side, I had a call earlier this week asking if all was well, even though I said that the issue is now all but resolved they said that they wanted to offer me free service, the next day I recived a letter to the same effect in the post!
  • Thanks HJ etc./Ford Options 17 Aug 2001 (Forum)
Thanks to earlier advice from HJ and others here I handed back my Options Fiesta and bought a brand new Fiesta Ghia (8 miles on the clock)from a car supermarket for £8000 plus car tax and a hundred or so for bits and pieces. It's a cracking little car and over £3000 cheaper than my local dealer (CG Ford, Lake District). So thanks for your advice guys - I owe you a pint each. Unfortunately, I neglected to cancel the standing order and Ford Credit took an extra payment from my account, leaving me in debit which cost me money -grrr!

I bought a car one week ago and noticed one of the doors won’t open. Can I reject the car or do I have to get it repaired if the dealer offers? Thank you.
