Our ´99 Astra has done just over 100k miles. It´s got the 1.8 16V petrol engine. Its cambelt and pulleys were changed at 62k, in Feb 2004. Should I get the cambelt done now, or wait until it hits 120k? Any advice gratefully received. Barchettaman -
V.W. sharon. wiper motor. 25 Feb 2007 (Forum)
The winderscreen wipers on my wife`s Sharon have slowed up so much on a trip to Liverpool and at one point stopped in the middle of the screen. This was quiet frightening on the m-6 inpouring rain. The next day they seemed to operate ok. -

Citroen C4 Picasso 11 Aug 2006 (Forum)
Although it must be extremely similar to other MPV's, like Zafira for example, it somehow looks really good. I also assume that, like other C4's, it will also be extremely cheap! Funny really, now the kids have grown up, I really fancy an MPV! -
Bull bars- fading away? 30 Jun 2006 (Forum)
It was just like a big inverted U shaped tube that sort of covered the grill. It made me realise than, certainly in urban S/W London / Surrey , they have almost disapperaed. Have bull bars faded out in other parts of the country? -

What's at the head of the queue? 29 Apr 2006 (Forum)
Ambling along a normally fast A-Road the other day behind an old Pajero, I got to wondering which cars other backroomers associate with extra slow driving? Back in the 80's I remember Triumph Toledos heading the queue. More recently E-H reg Renault Espace's have, erm, slowed the pace of life somewhat. -

Corsa stalling 4 Feb 2006 (Forum)
My girlfriend has a 1 litre S reg Corsa. She's been having trouble with it stalling at junctions. What generally happens is when she dips the clutch the revs drop and keep dropping until it eventually stalls. Either that or the revs drop as low as 400-500 rpm then it realises it's about to stall and wakes up. -

Cooling off period 31 Dec 2005 (Forum)
Hi, I've just made a mistake. I've paid a £200 deposit on a car from a non franchised dealer for a 98/S Vauxhall Corsa Envoy 1.2 3D with 78K on the clock. The sticker price was £1695, the Parkers guide is under £1200. Does anybody know if the 14 day cooling off period would allow me to cancel the sale ? -

Met GRowler 1 Aug 2004 (Forum)
(This began as GRowlette\'s thread about her anticipated visit to England, but has now developed into one about a July Backroom Meet, possibly, and appropriately, at the revamped ACE Cafe.) Eight days to go and we get to UK. My Big One he tells me to share the driving. -
Suicidal birds 29 Jul 2004 (Forum)
This leaves the driver, especially if he is being followed by another vehicle, with no option other than to plough on, with fatal consequences to the bird(s). Distressing to the driver and passengers, too. What do you do in such a situation?
