  Just a quickie - I am about to buy a 2001 Toyota Yaris being sold by the dealer as a GS 5Dr (It is a five door) - The DVLA registration document says it is an "S" not a GS - Is that possible? - Did the first registering dealer make a mistake when registering it with the DVLA? I thought all S models were 3 door? Thanks for any help.

  I know the old MGF wasn't much of a looker but why is the new MG TF styled to look like an 80's Opel Manta which itself was derived from the 70's Vauxhall Cavalier. I don't understand all this retro styling, if I want a car to look old I'll buy an old car !

  Hi, i have a 2006 impreza 2.0 r engine . i bought the car from the previous owner in may 2015. for 1 month the car worked well. as soon as you touch the gas pedal it will shoot off, acceleration great and top speed about 190 km. as soon as i changed the rim and tyres it died. it had 16's and i put 17's, but the manual said i can make that change. it started to flat spot bad and go dead. it will crawl up small hills gas pedal to board. on flat roads as well, flat spot, dead, no acceleration. then suddenly it will take off again with a spurt but will soon die down again. on the highway 3rd and 4th gears no problems. it will fly. but it never worked again as it did the first month.

  hi, i have a 2006 impreza 2.0 r engine . i bought the car from the previous owner in may 2015. for 1 month the car worked well. as soon as you touch the gas pedal it will shoot off, acceleration great and top speed about 190 km. as soon as i changed the rim and tyres it died. it had 16's and i put 17's, but the manual said i can make that change. it started to flat spot bad and go dead. it will crawl up small hills gas pedal to board. on flat roads as well, flat spot, dead, no acceleration. then suddenly it will take off again with a spurt but will soon die down again. on the highway 3rd and 4th gears no problems. it will fly. but it never worked again as it did the first month.i have tried to reset the ecu, but it will work better just for about 2 days and then go back again to working horribly. i have been to 5 mechanics . they said the changing of the rims will not cause that, just coincidence. i have changed new fuel filter with regulator. also the fuel pump. we put a gauge to check the psi of the pump and it held up fine- no problems.serviced the air filter. i changed the knock sensor. i replaced the air flow sensor. i serviced the injectors and throttle body four times at different mechanics. i changed the timing belt and tension-er and pulleys - . i changed the engine and transmission oils. i changed the spark plugs. sometimes on the highway the 4th gear will take long to go in and when i try to kick down, it will not and the same gear will run. the 1st and second gear will sometimes go in with a hard buck.when i apply brakes to stop, while slowing down i can feel the hard buck from the engine or there abouts as the car comes to a stop.i scanned the car at 6 mechanics!

  She's been done for "not parking wholly within bay" and to be fair the photographs show that one side of the car is over and slightly beyond the white line on one side. No excuses she's been sloppy in this regard, even though she was only parked for 5 minutes max, (in an otherwise empty car park due to local tier 3 restrictions). The charge is £100, reduced to £60 for early payment which seems excessive. My question is what happens if we decide NOT to pay this, or is there a way of reducing the charge to a more "reasonable" sum?

  I am having some trouble in finding accomodation. I was after a cabin in particular - for 5-6 people maybe up to a max of 10. Would like to have electricity! and hot water. Will be going for 4-6 days. Any idea where to look - I've tried websites - all seem to cater for b&b's and hotels. Look close to west side of Scotland - perhaps furthur North.

  Honest John said that it was due to the high profile tyre size. I dont wish to change tyre size but I was wondering as it says in the side wall 36psi max cold, If I inflated the tyres to 33psi front 30 rear would it be safe to do so or would I be in danger of blow outs when the tyre warms up. Would it make a difference to tyre wear?. I dont do any off road driving.

  The problem is I am unable to locate or even remember the name of the motor insurance company that I last had in the UK and for which I had full/ max no claims discount (NCD). My fear is that I will need to start from the beginning and therefore pay a very high premium. Whilst in Italy, our family car has been isured in my wife's name so there is no NCD to transfer over.
