Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 03 2.0 TDCI glow plug light flashes intermittently 28 Mar 2014 (Forum)
while the glow plug light is flashing the car feels like its lost power and there is no turbo boost. However when i turn the car off and on from the Ignition key the glow plug light stops flashing and the car drives fine. I have a mate who works at Ford, and he checked it out on their diagnostics machine and he said that it says the computer is saying that the fault lies at the Delphi Diesel pump and he quoted me £1260 for brand new pump including labor. However they cannot guarantee that it is the diesel pump, but he said in majority of the cases they have seen it is almost always the diesel pump I am just wondering if anybody else encountered this problem and can advise me further. -

fiesta 1.4tdci - Ford fiesta 1.4tdci eac fault seemingly cured 8 Dec 2013 (Forum)
Although the eac fault can be triggered by a faulty throttle pedal, poor connections can cause havoc so before spending on injectors, pumps and expensive Ford dealer diagnostics, do what I did and see if it makes a difference before going down the expensive route. Hope this helps. -

My 2007 1.8 TDCI Edge Ford mondeo (96,000miles)cut out on me while taking off from some traffic lights the other day. The car had been running fine and then as I accelerated from the lights the car revs seemed to go way up and then I heard a whining noise, the car lost power and then died on me. -

Ford Focus 1.8 TDCI Ghia - £3,500 which hatchback diesel? 16 Dec 2011 (Forum)
I have had loads of MK4 Golfs which have been great but very costly in terms of the regular faults and annoying TEE lights. I am very open minded but took a 1.8 Ford Focus Ghia out for a run and I really liked it, one thing that I have a big problem with is how big cars seem now, the bonnet, seating, overall width, everythig seems so much bigger ( I grew up in MK1 and MK2 Golf GTi's) even the Skoda Fabia for what it is seems bulky, however the older Focus to me, seems like I am driving a car not a safety bubble on wheels. -
Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 02 1.6 stalling whilst driving (Automatic) 5 Sep 2011 (Forum)
The only way i have found to keep it going, is when it starts to die, put my foot down on the accelerator, and it will come back to life, but this means flooring it everywhere, and i dont think thats the greatest idea! The alternator and battery are both brand new, ford dont know how to fix it, and have tried to diagnose by putting a new boot sensro in, which hasnt changed anything. Any help or advice, would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again, Steve -

Ford Fiesta 1.25 - 2004 Fiesta Revving issue 2 Jun 2011 (Forum)
Hi, I have a 2004 (54) Ford Fiesta and the other day the battery gave out. I was driving home and the battery light popped on and then all the dials and internal electrics failed. Managed to limp to a well known chain who promise to fit things quickly and they replaced the battery (it was only giving out 8V). -

Ford Focus - Focus 1.6 Zetec MK1 2001 - Temperature Gauge Jump 25 Oct 2010 (Forum)
Hi, Just registered as there seems to be some hugely knowledgeable forum members on here. I've just bought a 2001 Ford Focus with 115k on the clock (I know that could be my problem)! Anyway the car runs well and I was hoping it would give me a couple of years of trouble free (or relatively inexpensive) motoring. Over the last few days the car has developed a problem with the temperature gauge jumping straight to the red. -
Ford Escort c.95 - Engine runs from cold, then soon stops. 17 Aug 2010 (Forum)
Hello - this problem concerns a Ford 1.8 diesel turbo-intercooled engine, but whilst I'm posting under the Escort heading, it's actually fitted as OEM equipment to an agricultural vehicle; however as far as I can tell the installation closely matches a typical car job ( the only difference is that there is no ECU). -
Ford Focus - Respray 13 Aug 2010 (Forum)
I don't mind about the drips as the finish is not noticable except on very close inspection, it is just the dull non metallic look compared to the panels around it that i don't like. Is the top half of the door only above black plastic strip. Ford focus 2006 in metallic Black. Have been advised if i use T-cut that i would prob have to do every other panel as well. If anyone has an idea of price for a proffesional respray of the door would also conider this. -
Ford Focus 1.8 zetec- 2001 - red key query 21 Feb 2010 (Forum)
If I potentially have no keys for this car, is the only option to resolve this issue a visit to a Ford dealer? I would would appreciate any pearls of wisdom that you have. Thanks (I'll now start putting the house back together!) -
Ford Fiesta (2009 - ) - First Service - Darwin award for dealer 21 Jan 2010 (Forum)
When I looked at the invoice I see they claim to have put 5l in the engine, am somewhat surprices and ask the wife when she got the V8 put in. It is a 1.4 which according to Ford's book takes 3.5L, so where did they put the other 1.5l - it is not in the sump as the level shows in between the full/top up bends. Also their invoice does not add up - in our favour by a couple of pounds. -

My local mechanic (who is a star and very honest / reliable) is at a total loss to as why my car is eating these things. -
Ipod to "old style" Ford 6000CD 1 Dec 2009 (Forum)
Has anyone successfully wired an Ipod to an old style Ford 6000CD head unit (volume knob on left, removable security panel on preset buttons)? More specifically I want not only to have the audio signal, but also to enable the head unit to display track information and control the Ipod, such as the kits from Dension allow.
