• Saab 93 Vector - Advice needed 1 May 2015 (Forum)
  I have a 2006 Saab 92 2.0 Vector and has been on my drive for the last 3 months with the front tires just about flat, i managed to pump them up but one of them has a flat spot, after driving it for about 10 miles the flat spot noise seems to have subsided, the only issue i have now is that when i apply the brake i get the same kind of noise as the flat spot (front left n/s brake)   Any ideas as to why it could be?     Regards

  Thinking of adding water temp (the existing is not direct reading), oil pressure, oil temp and boost pressure, on "A" pillar housing(s). Yes, it's a strange choice of car, let's say it's a practise run.... Where best to insert the senders/sensors, either specific to this engine should anyone reading this be familiar with it, and are there any senders already extant which could be exploited/piggy-backed (I assume the ECU receives some of those values anyway).

  hi recently purchased new vw , the mpg figures we are achieving are alot lower than the figures we where given prior to the purchase, my question is what are volkswagen salesmen telling you before you purchase a new car for thousands of £s how did they explain the figures ? did they us a vw tablet computer to show you the figures? did they explain how these figures are achieved ? did they make any ref to personally being able to achieve the figures ?

  Hi HJ, I ordered a new 2014 C-Class Merc in June for September delivery.  The spec included the much-touted AirMatic suspension - the first time this S-class feature was to be fitted to smaller Mercs.  However, the dealer tells me the factory cannot source the parts, so I have to drop the feature or delay the delivery.  The same problem affects the 360 degree camera system.

  Hi all 1.9 td audi A4 s-reg 98 wont start. When you turn it over it WILL fire up and run for about 5 seconds then will die it will do that all day but will NOT stay running and ive lost my odometer reading,the clock stopped working then it works then it wont and ive lost some ignition lights,has any one had this trouble before or can give advise please thanks glyn.......

  Radio 2's homwork query today at 6.45pm was 'at what speed would a car cover a set distance using the least fuel?' The answer was rather flimsy, but apparently 52-56 mph [ignoring all the car variables etc].

  i have a 06 dispatch 2.0 hdi ,im having mega problems with the offside sliding door ,the vehicle as central locking and motion controlled locking (taxi) it locks and unlocks no problem but on occasions while driving along the o/s door opens itself  when you stop and slide the door shut it catches no problem and stays closed until it decides to pop open again ,as anybody have any pointers to look at ,its driving me mad and not very safe when your carrying passengers

  Evening all Medium wave on my A3's stereo has disappeared.  It began a few days ago with one or other of 693 or 909 vanishing and now I can't pick up anything.  FM is still fine and I need to check LW. I presume it's not aerial related as the roof mounted aerial is as it should be and I can still get FM.

  The fronts are 235 40 18 91y the rears are 265 35 18 93Y I need 4 tyres 2 of each There are so2 s around but one tyre dealer has told me these would be 5 yrs old and he would avoid buying or fitting them...is this correct?

  Another worrying development is the habit of HGV;s to travel in the middle lane of these road works, often undertaking traffic in the third lane. They are effectively blocking in other traffic with nowhere to go if in trouble; this is not just to overtake

  A medium size car, for going on distance trips with passengers in the front and back. But not huge, because I like to be able to actually park it sometimes. I am a man in my 20's and it should not have a "grandma" style to it.  So far I was thinking about a Toyota (avenis) or a Vauxhall (Astra?)... anything really as long as it's a good car. I don't mind if it's 10 years old.

  From my experience it takes Essex CC about 8 weeks to (very shoddily) fix them, but you are helping others.  So I urge you..report several today and make the b*****s work for the cash they take from us motorists. Cheers.

    So, if that 1.8 petrol engine is still around, I would consider keeping an eye out for a good used Passat, three to four years old. Has anyone any advice to offer on that petrol engine and, indeed, any other aspects of a s/h Passat?

• Nissan Micra 04 1.4 - 'Drumming noise' 20 Nov 2010 (Forum)
  Car went for annual service at the independent garage that we've used for many years. It needed a new n/s/r tyre and they could not source a matching Conti one, so fitted a Firestone instead. Straight away it was making a 'drumming noise' mainly in the 30 - 55 mph range. We assumed it was a problem with the tyre and it has now been swapped for a matching Conti tyre, but we still have the noise.
