Jerky Mondeo 25 Apr 2001 (Forum)
When I recently had my 1995 2 litre Mondeo serviced I mentioned the car was jerky when accelerating at the lower end of the revs in 3rd and 4th or generally hard in these gears.I felt the problem began to develop shortly after an elective cam belt change at 68k.The garage (not Ford) could find nout wrong but changed the plugs which were only a year old. The problem persists.I feel I should take it to a ford dealer as they may recognise the problem but am worried about expensive suggestions that do not solve the problem.I am wondering if it could be the clutch or fuel supply system.Any suggestions?? -

Mazda MX 5 RF - Rust proofing. 2 Jul 2025 (Forum)
I bought a 2019 MX 5 6 months ago and I'm very pleased with it. I have since heard stories about all MX 5's being prone to rust because they aren't rust proofed in the factory. I don't know if that is accurate or not. At the moment there is some surface rust underneath and as I intend keeping the car I am considering having it professionally rust proofed. -
Peugeot 307 CC - Peugeot 307CC 2004 Hard Top roof won’t open 28 Sep 2023 (Forum)
I’m being told in most cases it should be a relatively cheap fix but concerned it could be something more serious and expensive. What are the common causes and fixes or should I avoid this car as it might cost me £1,000’s to fix? -
Why can’t the Japanese make a good diesel engine 19 Apr 2023 (Forum)
Earlier they were not outstanding but reliable . Take the Hilux that refused to die for Clarkson. Now we hear about Subaru s dissasterous attempts , Mazda CX5 destroying themselves and even the Yaris diesel with DPF breaking the tradition of peerless reliability. But at least Toyota accepted the criticism and arranged a generous claim arrangement. -

N/A - Close All Doors When Filling Up! 7 Jan 2022 (Forum)
However the pump would not zero and then a tannoy announced "No. 4 close your doors!". When I went to pay I queried this and was told it was a new H&S regulation. I then queried the value of this as the windows were still open and was met up a blank look. Is anybody familiar with this regulation? -
Vauxhall Zafira - Learner Driver Insurance - keep getting rejected 31 Oct 2021 (Forum)
I have a 2009 1.9l diesel Vauxhall Zafira and have had no problems in insuring it. I'm in my 50's with 15+ years of NCB. I have a son who's learning to drive, taking lessons but would like extra help by practising on my car. Number online quotes have rejected my application to add him on, including my own company, Hastings. -

Any - M6 Toll 12 Jun 2019 (Forum)
Maybe they are just trying to get HM Gov to buy them out? It is high time it was free. But when over 75's lose their TV licence, there's not much chance of that with this lot in charge. -
cracked windscreen and MOT 10 May 2019 (Forum)
Some thug (to put it mildly) has hit my windscreen and placed three smallish cracks (viewable from inside) on the right hand side, bottom corner of the windscreen (as viewed sitting in the drivers seat). there are also some small stone chips too nearby, also created by the thug(s). I think the stone chips are well outside zone a, buy within zone b, but are only 5mm or so wide. So i think im ok there. Hoverer regarding the cracks are these a straight failure, or can i get away with it if they are within the designated limits. -
Cherished Number plate as an investment 1 Oct 2018 (Forum)
The most expensive private plates that have been sold over the last 10 years have virtually all been of the cherished number plates style. Number plates such as F 1, M 1 and S 1 have made well over £300,000 and The Private Plate Company themselves sold B1 for over £200,000 back in 2006. As you can see, cherished number plates have been exceptional investments over recent years. -
Suzuki Splash - drive shaft seal leak 10 Apr 2018 (Forum)
Hi (not a fiesta radio code thread, woop) Took my wife's splash for the annual service and was advised rear shock absorber requires replacement but also that the o/s drive shaft seal is leaking and requires repair My wife has a friend with a similar agila and hers had to have a replacement gear box. Wondering if gear box problems are common on the splash and most importantly what the consequences of the drive shaft seal leaking might be, ie, what else should I check with this in mind? -

Gordon Bennett - I blame you for this ;-) 30 Oct 2015 (Forum)
I think it could be better if I had either stood the wax in a bucket of hot water for some time before or maybe thinned it down a little but, overall the gun sprayed it fairly well and it didn't drip despite me putting it on a bit thick in places. https://www.dropbox.com/s/49o01ejpagupl46/Wheel%20arch%20small.JPG?dl=0
