  Found an old post in the archives, and i have exact same problem.. the previous poster, had been given suggestions and never said if suggestion cured the problem. Ford Ka - can anyone help ??? I have a strange "clonking" sound coming from what sounds like inside the dashboard ahead of the driver which only occurs whilst driving. It's not continous, only seems to occur whilst steering or driving over bumpy road.

  Just bought a Focus CMAX 2.0 TDCi Zetec, 8k, one year old from Ford Direct via a Ford dealer. I've had it for about a week and the fuel consumption is about 30mpg on average for 50% town/50% motorway. Is this right? The specs for this car on the Ford website state 50.4mpg, should I expect my car to do this?

  My son has looked around and finally decided he would like a Ford Focus 1.8 TDDi Zetec 2001 51 reg with 67k miles.Silver, FSH, sun roof, CD player (multi) but no air con. The car is in good condition apart from a knocking sound under the rear when test driven. The guy who owns the garage that is selling it says that will be sorted.

  Following all the problems I have been having with my polo being set on fire (incidentally, I took it back at the weekend and asked for it to be fixed), I went out and bought a '98 Ford Escort to get me to work and back every day. After a few days, there was a severe vibration on braking and a slight constant vibration through the steering wheel. I had the front discs replaced and this cured the vibration on braking.
