Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 99 1.8 TDDi - engine cut out, now won't start. 16 Feb 2016 (Forum)
I called the AA and he did a quick check, and the engine is getting fuel but he wasn?t sure if it was the pump not giving enough pressure. The ford garage i got dragged to worried me saying it could be the cambelt (its only done 75k). Does that sound likely? Would the engine turn over as usual if the cambelt had gone? If it is the fuel pump is it likely to be expensive to repair? -
Ford Focus - Power Steering Pipe 12 Feb 2016 (Forum)
My friends Ford Focus 1.6 petrol 57 plate went last Thursday to a local garage due a knocking noise which was the cv joint. When she went to pick it up she was told that there was no noise noted but they had fixed the power steering pipe which seemed to be leaking although she had not noticed anything before it went in. -

Hi, I have a friend who has a problem with a Ford Mondeo 2002 2.0TDCI 130ps engine. The car appears to drive fine and pulls away with no problem. When you accelerate to approx 55mph in fifth gear then come come off the revs and sit with your foot barely touching the throttle at approx 1950 revs, the engine appears to become very lumpy, juddering infact, as if you were peppering the throttle. -

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help, I have a 2000 Ford Fiesta Ghia 1.25. Fairly often while driving or idle, the headlights will either dim slightly or go slightly brighter. At the same time the windscreen wipers will go either faster or slower, the heater blower will speed up or show down, the dash illumination with either or brighter or dimmer. -

My Ford Focus 1.6tdci 2005 (Mark II) frequently turns over very slowly, and often won't start, when the engine is hot after driving for 30 mins or more. Voltage at terminals drops from 13.5v to 9v or less when cranking. -

I took car to the garage, says radiator is full of oil, tried to flush it best he could but still blowing cold. Also, over the past year I've replaced the HCV three times ( Two were genuine ford) So that's not the cause. Ford Focus - nearly new purchase - mileage issue 17 Oct 2013 (Forum)
Bought a 62 plate focus 6 days ago but only just noticed that the mileage on the finance agreement is signiifcantly lower than the mileage when I picked the car up - around 500 less. The car was purchased thru a ford dealership via a 6000 mile options agreement. I was also assured that the car had had its first service and now checking the servcie book it is down as being serviced more than 3 months ago with a mileage of more than 500 more than that on the finance agreement. -

Ford fiesta Zetec 1.25 56 plate - Engine noise at higher speeds 9 Jul 2013 (Forum)
Bought a used fiesta Zetec 1.25 (56 plate) two weeks ago. It's only done 38k and has been serviced every year by Ford. Lovely little car but as I have previously driven astras and vectras this is taking some time to get used to. Wen driving at speeds of 50mph plus I have noticed a hum on the engine (sounds just like a vroom, vroom, vroom repetitively) the radio drowns out the noise but as this noise is a repetitive one should I be worried? -
Ford Focus 2.0 Diesel - Cruise Control Problem 3 May 2013 (Forum)
The cruise control works properly up to the point when the warning message shows, thereafter it will not activate, until re-starting the engine. A local service garage identified fault codes P0579 and P0581 but advised that only a Ford dealer would be able to take the diagnostics further. I am wondering if there is a sensor on the steering which deactivates the cruise control at a certain turn radius which is faulty. -

It almost failed and the emission deteriorated during the course of the year. The table below shows the emission over the last few years Age Year CO HC Lambda Natural Idle Test / CO 3 2010 0 7 1.01 0.01 4 2011 0.01 1 1 0.01 5 2012 0.01 10 1 0.01 6 2013 0.198 165 0.985 0.231 The emission got a lot worse from 2012 to 2013.
