  i have a problem where when the car is at normal idle speed it is not exactly smooth and the lights, both interior and exterior have an occasional slight flicker like you would get if idle was too low. rev counter says it idles at around 800. it would seem that this pink fluffy dice ford has now got all the common faults rolled into one. Can't wait to finally get it all fixed or give it a viking funeral!

  All other doors unlock induvidualy from each other but the drivers door will not unlock. i am having to put the window down and put key in door lock to unlock my door (drivers) any help would be great Car Details Ford Focus 1.6 LX 112,000 miles on clock No other know problems

  My Ford Focus is a 1.8 petrol. According to the owner's guide I should be getting 27mpg for urban driving. Does anyone know how the car was driven to give this value i.e. would it include high revving through the low gears and periods of idling, and would it include driving up hills.

  Hi, Have just brought a second hand ford focus with the 6000 series CD player, this works fine with CD's, but I only get static from the radio. I am guessing this means that the aerial is somehow disconnected. It appears to be fitted to the top of the car correctly, so wondered if anyone knew where else this break might have occurred, the only other place that I can think of is the point the aerial reaches the radio, so would also like to know if there is a way I can check this without having to take the radio out as I don't have the code to restart it.

  Has only happened a couple of times and I thought it could be related to the heater plugs. Had the car servced at Ford main dealer and their answer was a) I had the wrong light and had mistaken the cold temp light for the heater warning light b) After a short test drive they said there was no problem that they could see They advised that the fuel filter had been replaced during the service and if there was a problem that should resolve it.

  Hi, hope someone can help me! I have bought a '97 Ford Mondeo 1.8 TD LX estate, and it came with an MOT failure sheet stating "little or no operation of nearside rear brake". The previous owner had the car looked at by a garage, and the paperwork from them says faulty brake compensator valve.

  Hello i have just bought my first car a 1.3 ford fiesta finesse 2000. Its done aprox 47,000 miles. Everything seems fine with the car (except one thing) and on the test drive everything was ok. However on the way home from picking it up i've noticed there is a fault with the speedo.

  I just have a couple of concerns about the coolant in my Ford Focus 1.8 Petrol (1999 T). Firstly, when I check the coolant reservoir, I notice that on the inside surface of the reservoir there are what look like bubbles/condensation which are present whether the car is cold or hot it seems.

  Yesterday he took it to a garage and got the following codes u0001 high speed can communication bus u2510 invalid security data recieved from ecu. Ford had the car for 2 days but could not find or fix the fault. The car seems to be running okay once started. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

  When I collected my 05 Fiesta TDci last Friday from my local Ford dealer, I noticed that the 2nd of the 2 keys they gave me belongs to another vehicle. This despite charging me a fee a so called "multipoint check". I immediately told the salesman, who suggested I call during the week so that they can make another copy.

  When I had the bonnet up on my ford focus 1.8 petrol (Zetec E) I noticed at the front of the engine near where the cylinder head cover joins the top of the engine it looked like there was grease or oil there which I wiped off onto some paper and it looked jet black.

  My Daughter has a 1993 Ford Fiesta I think its 1.1. She was driving along normally when suddenly he car lost transmision. She got it towed back to her house. The Engine runs ok and you can select any gear without using the clutch while the engine is running Obviously the car doesnt move.

  hi i have an 02 130 tdci itis woked as a taxi and is now on 150,000+ when the light comes on and i have it re set it is always a different injector that shows up, now when its re set it only stays set for approx a month or about 3000 miles. when ever i ask about it they always seem to have a new theory on it. i also heard that its only the 130 that has this problem. i cant believe that it is not known after all this time. its a shame ford stay quiet on this its an excellent car other wise still drives like its only done 10,000 any body any ideas ?

  One of my relatives has been offered a 2003 Mondeo TDCI 130 hatch, Ghia X (6 speed) model with all the bells and whistles apparently with 102k and full Ford dealer service history. It's been serviced around every 12k from what she's seen of the service history. The car seems clean and tidy, no dents, scratches etc. in or out. The price is around £4300 - there is little room for haggling as it's a collegues and she doesn't want to "fall out".

  Hi all, I have a 1996 (N) Ford Fiesta 1.3EFi. The car was producing blue smoke and as a result someone I know replaced the Valve stem oil seals for me. Since this has been done the Fiesta has 2 new problems that I cannot solve - And he has since moved out of the area :-( . 1.

  i have problems whith my powering steering my hose pipe is goosed tryed to get new part but they dont make it any more it the one that goes into the pump with the electrical flow censor without air con i phoned ford up but they said that the company that supplied the part whent bust years ago and the only way i could get the part is buy is to go to a auto breakers but i had phoned round about a hundred breakers and they had not many in it seemed that the pumas that the had is with air con and the part is diffrentthe part number is 1044930 i would be very greatfull if you could help me as my puma is off the road untill i get this part thanx rob

  hi all,I was wondering could anyone offer some advice. lately I noticed a slight tinee flutter sound when i accelerate under light load,I brought the car to the ford garage and they told me it was avanced timing in the pump, when the car is under no pressure the sound does not appear this happens in 3rd 4th and fifth gear as far as I can tell,the car does not emit black smoke and drives fine with loads of power. but is annoying especially when on a smooth road(when their is less road noise in the inside of the car.surly this is not a normal sound, thanks in advance {subject header amended to include brief detail of the problem being asked}

  Hi we have a problem with our ford that no one seems able to diagnose.... It judders badly whenever we go over about 50 miles an hour. garage suggests it might be drive shafts but say they can' t tell unless they actually change them.

  hi all, could someone please help ? I'm in the process of fitting a handsfree kit to my ford mondeo estate 2000 W reg auto petrol. i need to know what wires i need to tap into to get negative, positive, and ignition also mute if you know it. the four colours on my handsfree kit are red positive......... to what colour on stereo loom blue,ignition.........to what colour on stereo loom yellow, mute.........to what colour on stereo loom black, negative.........to what colour on stereo loom any help would be most appreciated. i have no electrical testing equipment. thanks kevin.
