• Radio traffic updates 28 Oct 2005 (Forum)
  Another current thread recommends tuning to a radio station to get traffic updates. I've always found these virtually useless as they appear to be rather out of date. Where do they get their info? (I'm convinced that the old Capital Flying Eye was nothing of the sort - it was a man in a studio with some aircraft background noises!)

  to the boot of my wife's Punto which currently has a radio cassette player? A FIAT replacement CD/radio is £350 plus fitting. I wondered if there was a way that she could get an interchanger fitted linked from the boot and keep the existing radio cassette?

  I can`t turn the TP(traffic announcment) off on my Gamma radio, and it is driving me mad. I have tried everything, the instructions just say it can be turned off, but does`nt tell you how. Someone, please tell me how it is done.

  Iam considering buying a headunit for the car- as I am going abroad - will buy from there (cheaper as always!). The question is - will it pick up uk radio frequency - different uk stations - including using the search function? Or will it have to be modified/ tuned to do this? I suppose anyone who has imported a japanese car will know this?

  I have a 1998 2.0litre Nissan Primera the LCD panel on the radio is starting to fail. I am only getting part lettering, and I am concerned if I ever have to re-enter the code numbers. Can anyone help? Is it repairable?

  Hi, Have just brought a second hand ford focus with the 6000 series CD player, this works fine with CD's, but I only get static from the radio. I am guessing this means that the aerial is somehow disconnected. It appears to be fitted to the top of the car correctly, so wondered if anyone knew where else this break might have occurred, the only other place that I can think of is the point the aerial reaches the radio, so would also like to know if there is a way I can check this without having to take the radio out as I don't have the code to restart it.

  Car in question is E30 BMW with decent Kenwood head unit, upgraded Kenwood speakers and separate amp for small sub in boot. Have never relly used the radio much as I prefer to listen to CDs. The sound system is fantastic when playing a CD but have recently tried the radio and the quality was rubbish compared to the CD playback. I tried it for a long journey and wih the engine off too - it just sounds tinny and slightly crackly.

  hi, I bought a Ford Escort online and all worked well but one year later I had a problem with the engine and sent it to get fixed when I got my car back it was fixed but I suspect they disconnected the radio and the asked for the code because I didn't found the code in the manual I couldn't fix it but my brother, whitout me knowing, started to input random codes until lock13 appeared on the display   I found this website when searching the web for solutions and I often see topics related with this radio and in one of those I saw a link wich I needed to input the serial number (m354363) and it gave me the code 6700   the problem is that in this website I only see topics that say it will only go to lock10 but because on my radio is lock13 I don't know if I only need to input the code or something else, and how because my radio only has keys from 1 to 6 and I don't know how to input 7   I would appreciate if anyone could help me

  Hi We’ve recently bought our daughter her first car. It’s a Ford Ka 2011. It’s a lovely little car, however, the radio doesn’t work and the code given to us with the car doesn’t work. The radio is a Fiat B420 Low and the serial number is 5230282232231004204335. There are other numbers on the label but none work when we put them in to the code generators online.

  I left my stupid lights on by accident and the battery died, so I had to jumpstart it with my dad's car. Now the radio, aux, and all the others are gone. There's no light or anything, it isn't asking for the code as well. How do I fix this? I just got the car a month ago, I don't even know the serial for the radio unit so I can't get the code (if that was to solve it).

  Hi All,   New here and just wanted to know if therere's anyway to get my radio code for the RDS6000. When I follow the instructions to get the serial number up, there is no code which starts with M or V. I've cycled through all the screen and these are the numbers I have 50702000 DP-MV-5H 255 69 00 00   Can anyone help me find my serial number/radio code?

  Does anyone know if the Gamma radio in my 02 Golf will "remember" its code if I disconnect the battery? The manual says some models have "convenience coding" whereby if it's the original radio (it is) the car somehow recognises the unit and you wont have to enter a code.

  Hi all, Car is back from the garage today and the radio doesn't want to work now. The battery has been disconnected as the time on the dash seems to have reset itself. Radio turns on and off ok, but doesn't display anything. No code, no warning, nothing.

  Hi!  I've fixed up a write off Ford Fiesta and am missing music!  I don't have the radio code (M055592) if anyone could help with this please.  But also when I start the ignition the radio shows P871 0BA.  Any ideas?  It flashes now and again, have tried fiddling with it and sometimes the 'CODE ----' comes up, haven't got further than that because I don't have the code, but not sure if I need to do something to fix the other issue first.
