Ford Traffic 3000 - radio on lock13 - armando30

hi,

I bought a Ford Escort online and all worked well but one year later I had a problem with the engine and sent it to get fixed

when I got my car back it was fixed but I suspect they disconnected the radio and the asked for the code

because I didn't found the code in the manual I couldn't fix it but my brother, whitout me knowing, started to input random codes until lock13 appeared on the display

I found this website when searching the web for solutions and I often see topics related with this radio and in one of those I saw a link wich I needed to input the serial number (m354363) and it gave me the code 6700

the problem is that in this website I only see topics that say it will only go to lock10 but because on my radio is lock13 I don't know if I only need to input the code or something else, and how because my radio only has keys from 1 to 6 and I don't know how to input 7

I would appreciate if anyone could help me

Your code is correct so try this but you only get 1 chance as will be explained

To enter the code of 6700:

Press Button 1 Six Times

Press Button 2 Seven Times

Press Button 3 Ten Times

Press Button 4 Ten Times

Finally, press Button 5 to enter the code.

After inputting all those previous incorrect codes I don't know whether your radio will accept the correct code now. You can only try and see what happens.

Is there anyway I can find the serial number for my radio (3000 taffic) without removing it? I held down 2&6 and 3&6 neither worked. I held down 1&6 and it flashed up MP DS DP and then flashed up 303 255. I'm not sure this is the serial number but tried M303255 on the link you posted which gave me code 6325. My radio went in lock down for 30 minutes... Help please.

Pressing Buttons #2 and #5 sometimes works, too. Should be done as you turn the radio on holding the buttons down.

Not too sure what a Ford 3000 radio looks like but, provided it's not one of the complicated three -part ones, I would think it would be far easier to obtain a set of radio removal tools and pull the radio out just a couple of inches in order to read the serial number from the label on the radio's casing.

No need to disconnect anything, just pull the radio out a couple of inches.

Edit...................Just had a look on Ebay to see what a Ford 3000 Traffic radio is like. Very straight-forward to remove, you just need a pair of radio removal tools like these:
