Fiat Punto Brakes Failure 29 Dec 2001 (Forum)
Then when I eventually managed to stop with the aid of the handbrake I was able to just pull the footbrake back. It returned to the normal working position with the brakes just as good as they were before the failure as if nothing untoward had happened! Fiat say they found no problem with the braking system, but have replaced the Master Cylinder as a 'precautionary measure'???! -

Hello learned people. Vauxhall Insignia - Exhaust and Brakes 22 Jan 2014 (Forum)
Is it reasonable to have to change your rear pads every 16k or so? Vauxhall want to insist that it is a reasonable position. Driven carefully witrh no excessive braking and driving 8k or so each year. Also - is 5 years a reasdonable period before having to replace much of the exhaust system - front pipe, silencer, muffler etc. All totally shot and corroded. -
Ford Fiesta Saloon 2000 zetec - Brake problems 25 Aug 2012 (Forum)
A friend has a fiesta as above, with brake issues. When applying the footbrake from any reasonable speed, the pedal travels almost to the floor with no effect, then the wheels lock-up inducing a skid. A cursory inspection reveals the pads and discs to be in new condition, and there are no scuffing or scraping noises. -

Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - Brake fluid renewal 25 Jun 2008 (Forum)
What's the normal procedure for a garage renewing brake fluid? Would there normally be visible evidence of the renewal, and if so what would that be? I've paid for this work to be done but I'm suspicious that it hasn't been. I've purposely not said what I've seen (and not seen) on the car so that I don't influence your answers. -
