Drove a few cars yesterday 10 May 2009 (Forum)
It didn't feel massively quick, but that probably related to how quiet it was in the cabin. The build quality seemed very good and I could imagine covering long distances in the car with little problem. The only downside was the £38K price tag, although I imagine they will become relatively affordable in a few years. -

Ford Focus 2002 1.6 pet - Ford focus 02 - To change cat or not? 7 Apr 2014 (Forum)
Error code: P0420 Dashboard trick: DTC9318, battery and alternator have good voltages (also read that this is consistent with a knackered cat) It looks like the front Lambda has been replaced fairly recently with a genuine ford part, maybe the previous owner was trying to fix this problem...before passing it onto gullible me! Car is at 100,000 miles Had an emisions test done which showed the lambda at 1.01 which is an MOT pass Since I've had the car i've replaced: cam belt, speed sensor, air/fuel filters Cleaned the idle control valve Drives OK, MPG and power not as good as I would expect but don't really have much experience as my other car is a tuned up mini! -

Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class W171 - HPI claim 15 Oct 2011 (Forum)
I am ex motor trade so I made sure I carried out an HPI check, providing VRM and chassis no to ensure I was covered by their indemnity. The car is only 18 months old and was in superb condition, it did however have evidence of some paint work on both doors. I was slightly suspicious of this however I went ahead with the deal as these cars are painted regularly. -
Kia Rio 1.5 Diesel - Is this a fuel leak?? (Kia Rio) 29 Aug 2010 (Forum)
On Sat it had leaked fuel onto the drive, it looked like it came from a pipe near the rear axel, a pipe covered with this foam sleeve. I cleaned it up, wiped it all clean, and it has remained dry since, and no more stains on the drive. I read somewhere that if you fill up to the brim and the park with the rear of the car lower than the nose, this can happen. -

Mitsubishi servicing requirements 13 Aug 2006 (Forum)
All the documentation from the dealer that I have clearly states that it is covered by the 'balance of maufacturers warranty'. Many thanks for your help! I didn't realise that buying a small car could produce so much anxiety! {Subject header given a more meaningful title, rather than "Help required...." so as to give readers a clue to as your question - DD} -
Toyota Yaris D-4D 1.4 28 Jun 2006 (Forum)
I had a look at Parkers and most sells above £6500 for 53 plate with around 30k - 40k miles. Do anyone of you think the car is overkilled considering the car is only 2 yrs old and have covered 50k miles. WHat sort of mileage can this engine achieve?? We have seen Polo 1.4 TDI achieved in excess of 100k miles. Does anyone knows who made these D-4D engien, is it a Toyota or a Citreon/Peugeot design? -
Can an S-Class be serviced on a budget? 25 Apr 2003 (Forum)
I don\'t. I always let the car warm up in the mornings, I try to avoid long journeys and I\'ve only taken the car abive 3,000 revs twice in the month I\'ve had it so far and that\'s the way I intend to keep it. Honest. The Mercedes schedule is a lubrication service followed by a \"mechanical\" service one after the other. -
