Cyclist curfew 11 Jan 2013 (Forum)
I had a similar incident as you on a rural road at 10:00pm (naturally pitch black) and this was when I have only been driving for a month and this person was wearing all black, no reflectors and a black bike and he only came into sight a 100 yards ahead of me and was lucky my car had good brakes because he that was not the case I would have had to swerve to avoid him. The *only* thing I can say for it is that it has this nice, spacious, airy feeling inside. Oh, and the brakes are excellent, as are the lights. I visited David Woollard. Perhaps he would like to comment on the fairness of my comments ??? letter from the colonies vol 14 18 Aug 2006 (Forum)
So Will and I select a couple of plastic chairs to wait for the next 75 minutes (the completion of lunch break is seldom quite as prompt as its beginning). In the front of each grill, the Undead place signs reading "LUNCH BRAKE ". William scores 100 Pesos off me and disappears. Meanwhile I open the small cool-bag Growlette prepared for me. Strips of exquisitely thinly cut pastrami with lots of peppercorns and rye bread buttered with Dijon mustard from from Mrs Gliksten's deli, some rocket with marble tomatoes and what seems to be a yogurt dressing some sort, a crunchy Fuji apple from Japan for dessert, and -- bless her -- a still cold can of Rolling Rock. -
Positioning - Nigel Albright 23 Jun 2003 (Forum)
A vehicle is also in its most stable configuration when travelling in a straight line and the basic rules of acceleration and braking are also ?in a straight line?. So it certainly makes sense to look for situations where the vehicle can be kept in, or close to, it?s most stable configuration for as much of the time as possible. -
