It depends on the type and size of car you're after. If it's something smaller, the Toyota Yaris is an excellent choice, combining great reliability with good fuel economy. It's easily doable as a new car on that budget, but if you want something larger and are happy to go used, the latest-generation Kia Sportage (2021-on) is a great option that's available with a self-charging hybrid powertrain.
