Nissan Primera IV [2003] - ABS Sensor (Nissan Primera) 25 Mar 2011 (Forum)
Hello, My Nissan Primera ABS system developed a fault, whereby the ABS kicks in for a few miles causing the brake pedal to judder and then the ABS light comes on. I bought a new sensor and had it fitted this week (at an independent garage), but the fault remains. Does the ABS system need reset or recalibrated to take account of the new sensor? -

FIAT Bravo and Brava - Car pulling to one side and knocking noise 24 Jun 2010 (Forum)
I have a Fiat Brava P reg 1.6 and it when I press the foot brake the car pulls to the right. Sometimes I hear a single knocking noise when I turn a corner or go over a bump. The left wheel also has a lot of heat coming off it when driving. Can anyone shed some light on what is causing this and how to fix it. -

Bodges that appear to work 11 Feb 2010 (Forum)
The opposite of oil rags current post. In the past I have seen some things work that I would not have believed possible. Brake fluid poured into a carb at full throttle to free up the rings! A down draft carb with a blocked jet had the air filter removed, it was then revved up whilst someone gave a sudden slap to inlets (totally amazed that worked). -
How much do you expect a service to cost? 4 Feb 2010 (Forum)
I was talking to a mate who had just had a routine service on a Bmw 3 series 3 litre W reg and it set him back around £1200. Of course the actual service was no where near that but with extras like a brake caliper and pads etc it soon added up. Safety items can't be ignored of course but I am curious as to what people expect to pay when the garage gives you the bill. -

Citroen C3 (2002 - 2009) - 06 1.1 Beeping Noise for no reason 14 Jun 2009 (Forum)
There are no warning lights coming on with it. I have tried to replicate it and took it a run round the block. Nearly every time I pressed the brakes, it beeped. But not everytime. When I was sitting in the driveway and elected reverse it beeped. I have checked and all bulbs are working. Anyone any ideas?? -
Alloy Wheel protection 10 Jun 2009 (Forum)
Having paid the deposit on the Mondeo ST TDCi harsh reality arrives being faced with trying to keep the 43,000-spoke alloys clean! Has anyone used any of the coatings that are meant to allow brake dust and dirt to be simply rinsed off? There are off the shelf products and specialised services but haven't been able to find independent reviews. Tried a forum search but couldn't see anything so please direct me if it's been covered and I missed it. -
Nissan Primera III (1999 - 2002) - 2000 1.6 intermitent stallling 15 Mar 2009 (Forum)
My Primera has the same engine blocks as 1.8 Nissan engine which is totally different to pre 1999 1.6 engine. When braking at a junction revs fall and engine cuts out. This only happens on average twice a week. Other times it is fine. Normal idle is 800. No other symptons. Any ideas? I have tried fuel cleaner additive. -

A Mini miss adventure ? 26 Feb 2009 (Forum)
Thats how BBC TV's Watchdog program put it the other night. http://tinyurl.com/c7yfzn I can see why people who have never experienced anything but power steering would think the whole thing had locked up and wouldn't turn when failure occurred. I remember the first time a brake servo cylinder packed up on an old classic range rover . I presssed so hard on the pedal I nearly tore a knee ligament. -
When to use grease / lubricant... 14 Nov 2008 (Forum)
When should you use grease / lubricant (inc wd40) when working on cars? Reason for asking is for example putting wheels back on, or brakes back on - if you grease the bolts/nuts then they'll go on and come off again better, and protect from rust. However you obviously don't want them to come off on they're own!!! Any good guidelines? -
Damages to car standing around 22 Oct 2008 (Forum)
Anything to keep an eye out for? Its a 53 plate Diesel Vectra with 90k on the clock, someone told me about brakes corroding and electrical issues? Is it worth firing it up everyday to tick the engine over? I was contemplating getting rid of it and having a small cheap motor, but I guess I'd have the same issues - or would I? -

The car rolled back as the driver finished shutting the gate and caused a lot of damage. Do we have a case is this particular situation? -
