Nissan Primera IV [2003] - ABS Sensor (Nissan Primera) - JohnnyBoy

Hello,

My Nissan Primera ABS system developed a fault, whereby the ABS kicks in for a few miles causing the brake pedal to judder and then the ABS light comes on. I bought a new sensor and had it fitted this week (at an independent garage), but the fault remains.

Does the ABS system need reset or recalibrated to take account of the new sensor? If so, does anyone know how to do it?

Many thanks

John

More than likely the ABS ring or the main Module that is faulty.

Thanks Andy. Do you know the rough cost of either? A quick internet search shows ABS rings to be reasonably cheap, but Main Module sounds expensive?

Around 350ukp not cheap so it is essential you find the correct fault.

OK thanks. Don't fancy putting that money into a 2003 motor!

How did you know which wheel sensor was faulty. Regards Peter

Peter, I took the car to the Nissan Dealer, but declined their offer to do the work at £390 for parts, plus labour, plus VAT. They reported front RH sensor to be faulty.
