Match 1.6 TDI 5dr Hatchback

Practical, comfortable, economical and it does everything it says on the tin!

I have had the Golf from new, having bought it in October 2011. It has been superbly reliable.

Around town I average 50 mpg. The 1.6 diesel, is smooth and there is little noise, acceptable and the engine never feels laboured. Unlike most cars of this class it does not have a sixth gear, and at higher speeds it would improve economy.

Accommodation is excellent for 4 adults with plenty head and leg room, my son is 6'5" and he has no issues either in the front or the rear. It can take 5 adults at a push, but not long journeys.

The Golf Match is well equipped, with bluetooth, CD mulitplayer, DAB, USB port, front and rear parking sensors, auto wipers and headlights.

The only issue I have with the Golf Match, is that the heater takes an eternity to reach an acceptable level in the cold winter months, from what I have read on message boards etc this is issue with the 1.6 TDi.

Overall a superb car.
