attractive comfortable and so far trouble free, but inconsistant fuel consumption issues.

When first purchased, the spare wheel and all tools and parcel shelf were removed to save weight.Tyres were inflated to max psi to aid mpg. Most of my journeys are made on good and quiet roads at 45mph on cruise control. Most journeys are identical yet the mpg can vary between 31mpg to 42mpg. Sometimes the instant consumption reading takes a sudden nosedive to 14mpg or lower for no obvious reason. Perhaps it's the DPF regenerating. On one occasion this lasted two weeks before returning to a more normal 34mpg.I asked Vauxhall if the average Antara owners driving like I do were getting the 37.2mpg published in their brochure. They said they were not allowed to disclose this information. I believe Vauxhall are not being as honest and helpful to theirAntara customers as they could be, and as a result are getting bad press on this model,
