What does the £40,000 premium tax list price actually incude?
I am looking at new cars very close to £40,000. Could you define exactly what goes into that figure? I have a vague recollection that it includes list price and Initial Road fund licence (is that a fixed sum ?) plus first registration, delivery and number plates. Even dealerships seem to be unsure.

A vehicle's list price, Basic Retail Price or Recommended Retail Price is the cost of the vehicle plus options and is the figure used to calculate whether or not a vehicle is subject to the Expensive Car Supplement. The 'on the road' price adds VAT, first registration fee, delivery to the dealer, numberplates and the first year's VED.
