Should the cost of my optional service pack on my new sub £40k BMW be included in my vehicle’s value for luxury car VED?

The expensive car supplement, or premium tax, is applied if the total list price of the car, including options, exceeds £40,000. A servicing pack or servicing plan should not be included in the total list, but we would suggest checking the official price list and confirming with your dealer.
