Hyundai reveals new Santa Fe

Hyundai has revealed images of the new Santa Fe which will go on sale in the UK later this year. Although the images aren't the most detailed they do show a smarter look with a sleeker profile than the current Santa Fe which has a proved a very popular model. The all new model is expected to cost from around £25,000.

There had been rumours that the new SUV would be badged ix55, following on from Hyundai's current naming strategy, but instead Hyundai has stuck with the Santa Fe name, making this the third generation model. It gets similar styling to the new Hyundai Veloster coupe and impressive i30 with a more upmarket appearance dominated at the front by a large hexagonal chrome grille.

Like the current Santa Fe, the new version will come with seven seats which will be standard on the majority of models. You can also expect a high quality cabin if Hyundai's latest models are anything to go by. Equipment levels will be generous and it will also come with the Five Year Triple Care package which includes a five-year unlimited mileage warranty and roadside assistance.

The engine line-up will include the impressive 2.2 CRDi diesel that's fitted to the current model plus it's likely to get the efficient 1.7 CRDi engine that's used in the smaller ix35. This is expected to be front-wheel drive and will be badged Blue Drive as a low emissions model.
