Ford Mondeo 2008 TitaniumX manual - cruise control fault - Lancelot2

The cruise control has stopped working, although the dashboard shows up as on standby.That message lasts for a couple of seconds and goes off. This happens every time and thats as far as it gets. I checked the fuse and it appears to be unbroken. Have you any ideas ? To be honest it is hardly used but now with a bit of sciatica it would be useful on a long drive Thanks

There is a switch on the clutch and brake pedals to deactivate the cruise if either are pressed.Maybe they are not contacting properly.Try pulling up the pedals with your foot before trying to activate it as it might just need adjusting.
