I seem to have the opposite problem to most people with Ford heated screens - mine works when I don't want it to!

On engine starting, the indicator light for the front screen lights up for about 5 minutes - as if I have pressed it. It hasn't been cold enough for me to tell whether the screen is actually on, or if the problem is just with the switch indicator.

Anyway, I'd rather not put up with the excessive electrical load when I don't need it. Any ideas how to resolve this please?

faulty switch or sticking relay? not switching off although if the light goes off after a few mins the timer is working
