Ok so I feel like an idiot having to ask this question but I've just bought a second hand 1993 Toyota Carina, and I don't have a clue how to switch off the alarm if it goes off. Can any of you help me out?

IF (and a big IF) it is similar to the 1993 Corolla, there should be a little key on the key ring that fits into a black box (only one with a key barrel in it) in the engine bay, which will turn the Alarm off.
Disconnecting the Alarm MAY work, but it could be connected to the ignition, which mean no start.
If this is not the case, try www.toyotaownersclub or dealer...
