Extended Driver Seat Runners for Daewoo - gemini
Hey. Im back with more space shortages problems.

My dad just got a a 2002 Daewoo Nubira SE 1.6L. I am going to be driving it every now and again but due to my freakishly long length I will definatly need to extend the driving seat runners so I can fit in comfortably.

Can anybody link me to a website (and ideally, to the exact thing i want). Also, could someone please tell me what if anyhyting this mod would do to my insurance (bearing in mind im 18 and passed my driving test less than a month ago. Im named on the car.)

Hello,

Just caught up with your question!

In the past I've just taken the drivers seat out, bolted angle iron to the existing seat mounting points, and then bolted the seat to the angle iron further back than the original position.

A couple of things to be careful of:
if someone else will be driving the car, measure carefully. It's easy to put the seat too far back for the other person to reach the pedals or gear lever.
Modern cars have electrical connections underneath the seats. Make sure that these have enough travel to do what I've suggested. Or that they unplug and can be extended.
