I’m hoping someone can provide some advice. I’ll try not to ramble too much!

I had the same car and same issue. It was the exhaust gas recirculation valve that was blocked on mine. Basically a diesel was the wrong car for me because of the type of driving and mileage I was undertaking. I’ve moved to petrol now.
Hi
I'm looking for a new car and the Combo Life ticks all the boxes except for one thing.... The front seats only recline part way (maybe around 45 degree angle at the lowest?). We often go away for short breaks in the car and sleep in the front, with the seats fully reclined. So without that we'd have to rule this model out.... Read more
I've got a couple of photos showing the limited recline of the front seats, so thought I would share them here... Both show the driver's seat in maximum recline position. Would be so great if there was a restrictor that could be removed, or some other way to allow for full recline. Appreciate from the above comments that it is unlikely, but you never know!

I have an issue where a Scummy bloke keeps parking his car over the driveway on our street,
Bit of background - We live on a main access road through a village and not much parking available.... Read more
You could also escalate the issue with the local parking authority or law enforcement, as parking over a dropped kerb is usually a violation.

Has anyone had this problem any ideas would be great thanksIt sounds like your car's drain might be blocked. When the heater or AC is on, water can build up and leak into the footwell if the drain is clogged. You might need to clean the drain or get a mechanic to check it.
Can't see how turning on heater or AC has any effect on water built up due to a blocked drain. Unless the fan sucks strongly enough to suck standing water up into the intake, which seems unlikely
Seen a build up around this joint, I’ve cleaned it up best I can and will check it next weekend. Anyone kindly tell me what that part is for?
I’m not well educated on the part names and what it all does.

No, I did check hoses around that area, particularly the one that sits in the clip attached to that intake. I lifted it out and looked under it for signs of cracking or actual splits ect.
Thanks for the reply
I charged my battery up the wrong way and when I tried to put it back on car it was sparking like mad , thought something was left on that took high voltage! Anyway it was the polarity had changed in the battery
When I put a new battery on it lights up the ignition but wont crank. It says on dash :see owners manual engine overheated engine failure.... Read more
Best way you’ve blown a fuse . Worst way, the engine ecu has been fried . Take a look at the fuses behind the glove box.
About a week ago I had all 4 injectors replaced with new ones on my Astra CDTi after about 6 months of it frequently regening itself, lots of smoke, bad smells etc. The garage I took it to tested the injectors and all 4 failed so all had to be replaced. The also ran diagnostics and a forced regen once the new ones were in.
Car seemed a lot better for about 4-5 days, no smells, no smoke etc, but in the last 2 days it's gone back to trying to regen itself pretty much every day, lots of smoke, smells etc.... Read more
