I loved my original S-Cross Allgrip but sadly Suzuki customer service UK was incredibly unhelpful when the panoramic sunroof developed a serious problem and for that reason I will not consider buying another Suzuki. Currently the very happy owner of a Kia Sportage!!
Where will this end up? Governments come and go and sign up to impossible targets. Blair started this rubbish. Boris and his wife, have taken it on board. It seems like a bad dream. Meanwhile from next year I doubt many will be able to afford to heat their houses, let alone buy an EV that cannot be charged. Politicians are never accountable as they vanish , with a fantastic pension, as soon as the proverbial hits the fan and the next lot just blame the last lot.
But I am sure many Green types read this forum and will , collectively, save the planet. However, they , and I, will not be here in a million or so years to witness this.

Parked just along the road from my house was a quite young but very, very dirty van. This van also had an enormous dent which stretched along the N/S from the passenger door, right along the sliding door to the rear wheel arch.
Now you are probably thinking, well what is noteworthy about this?.... Read more
I was friends with a very successful salesman.
He and his peers had 911s, jaguars, etc, but they also kept a mondeo in the office. Nothing wrong with it - it was always well maintained, clean and tidy....
Hi all. I have a 2016 bmw 6 series. Someone stole the entire digital instrument cluster of my vehicle. They did this by chopping the main loom wire going into the component and ripped it out. Theres no other damage to the car.
I was told by the recovery driver that this is an enormous job for bmw and it will most likely be written off. Does that sound right? He said the entire main loom would need rewiring. Read more
Have you had any response from the police so far ?
Hi All,
I've recently bought Ford Mondeo 1.6 ecoboost 2012 (petrol) and noticed a clunk noise when shifting the gear from 3rd to 4th, there's no noise when shifting gear from 4th to 3rd or any other. There's also no noise when shifting the gear from 3rd to 4th when car is idle pr speed is lower than about 20mph.... Read more
Have you looked at the engine and gearbox mounts?
Hi all, so I've had the EPC and check engine light coming on and off for over a year now, with over 4 different mechanics telling me not to worry about it. I've just had a full service.
Fast forward to now, I just drove 20+ hours to Sweden from the UK. After 6 hours of driving ( with half a tank of fuel), both amber lights appear on my dashboard, and I'm unable to accelerate. The engine didn't cut off as I have a new battery/alternator belt. I had to pull over and restart my engine, which fixes the problem and I'm off again.... Read more
Honestly I have no idea, I don't know much about cars. but thanks for the info I'll start by fitting in a new EGR valve :)
When I briefly ran a Honda Accord recently, it had a check engine light and an "insufficient EGR flow" error code....
Hi, I have a 2012 diesel citroen nemo. Its starts fine from cold but has gone very slow starting when warm. Its turning over for a long time before starting. Any ideas? Any cheap/ easy things to check first. Thanks Read more
Could be diesel temperature sensor. Common age related fail part on Peugeot diesels. Doesn't put an engine management light on either, and doesn't show up on cheapo code readers. A Lexia / Diagbox scan should identify if that's the issue.
Its not a cheap part so I wouldn't risk throwing it at the car without confirmation....
It's all very well having more charging points BUT where is the power needed to come from in the cold months of December, Jan & Feb?
The ageing Nuclear plants will close within a few years and the 2 remaining Coal stations are currently needed to maintain supply today!

In response to these challenges, the RAC emphasizes the urgent need for the installation of rapid charging hubs. These hubs would provide accessible charging options for EV owners, particularly in city areas where slope game charging is impractical.
I've got a 68 plate Honda Civic. A week ago I was parked in a local car park with 2 12 year old girls sat in the back. I left the keys in the ignition and left for 5 minutes to go to the shop. I was parked on quite a slope! As I walked back to the car 5 minutes later, I witnessed it rolling down and hit a low brick wall, causing £3400 of damage to the car! The girls said the car made a loud beep, the dashboard flashed and then the car started moving. A local Honda dealership has run diagnostics and said there are no faults! What other explanation is there for this to happen? If the brake hadn't been on it would have rolled before I'd even got out of the car. Ive6put in a complaint to Honda UK but haven't heard anything yet. Any advice?
I think you have to have the drivers seatbelt engaged to be able to release the Civic EPB. I am not sure as there seem to be a variety of safety features that differ across makes.
Just press brake pedal and push EPB button down, it wont release if the brake pedal is not pressed, though the fault was in the vehicle stability assist ECU software originally. ...
