Hi.
Hoping someone can give an idea what my issue is.
I have a gen 7 Celica and this morning I couldn't get any heat on my way to work.
Figured it could be an air lock, however when driving home this evening the temp gauge kept going to hottest then back down every few minutes.
When I got home I lifted the bonnet and there is coolant splashed all around near the coolant reservoir.
My initial feeling is that this isn't good.
Any ideas where to start?

Lots of potential things to check before assuming there is a fault.
How old are the tyres ? How much grip is on the tyres ? What brand are the tyres ?...
Looking to buy a car that's under 2k that hopefully can fit the following criteria:
- under 10-12 years old
- cheap to run - owned a VW Passat until now and 90% of the work on it I've done myself with parts being cheap and internet full of guides
- saloon/hatchback(5 doors)- definetly don't want it to be bigger size than passat
- 1.6 - 1.8 engine - owned only 1.9tdi engines until know and while fun I think I should go for a 1.6 to 1.8 to lower the fuel cost while not making the car feel too sluggish
- under 100k mileage
- reliable, maybe even fun to drive

When you look at the Honda Civic, try out the magic rear seats that either fold away complete with seat base or lift up allowing for high loads. Just sourced a Honda Jazz for my sister that has the same (albeit smaller) arrangment and it's amazing.

I see someone has at last seen that speed bumps are a menace like we all already knew. NICE are looking for them to be removed to reduce the creation of emissions as people accelerate and slow down between them, let alone the damage they do to cars as well. Hopefully councils will listen and act accordingly although I have my doubts on the intelligence levels of most council leaders to be honest. Read more
I do not know where anyone is going to get clean air as even antartica has dirty air, I think its just something to complain about with tree huggers that have nothing better to do.
better research is needed into cleaning diesel exhausts, though once that has happened someone will come up with a different health hazard for all to worry about
Lets get organised. Lets all agree not to use one of the big oil companies. Something should be done about the excessive tax the government take. I see a lot of tax just wasted. Petrol without any tax is only 40p a litre. Surely if we want the country to grow, fuel and energy should be cheap. I think we are being systematically dismantled as a nation. Read more
