I have bought a Becker RB3 Sat Nav unit for my Chrysler Voyager (RG) and have had the unit fitted by a local engineer.
The unit powers up ok and is working but there is no sound coming out of the speakers!!
The unit has its own internal amplifier which is working. When powered up on the work bench and attached to speakers they work, but when fitted to the car the (car) speakers do not!!
The socket/plug on the RB3 unit is the same as the previous factory fitted unit.
Any idea's as to why the car speakers will not sync up with the head unit?

Hi,
I have the same issue - did you manage to fix it?...
Last week while on business in Germany I visited the Marecedes Benz museum in Stuttgart. Only 8 Euros entry. What a magnificent place.
You start off by getting a lift to the top and you view the exhibits in a downward spiral to the ground floor with the vehicles getting newer as you descend.
At the end you can ride in a simulator culminating in a lap of Monaco in the Mclaren F1 car.
Has anyone else visited it?

hi,
does any one know why the mileage on my mondeo shows a reading that never changes when the ignition is switched off, but works like normal when the ignition is on??
off - the reading never changes and is on display constant!
on - mileometer shows different reading, but works like normal!
thanks guys. Read more
apparently this could be because the odometer may have been changed due to a fault, and the constant reading is supposedly when the odometer was/may have been changed! any thoughts??

Gat ya trousers on. You're nicked!
I bet you guys all think John Thaw was the first person to say this.
Well you're all wrong. It was Patrick Mower in "Special Branch" some years before. Such a brilliant line, the scriptwriters reused it!
Hello all, I'm new here and was hoping for a bit of assistance.
I want to go and bid on a car at auction on Friday.
The car is for my wife and needs to be registered in her name, so I was wondering how I would go about dealing with the V5 if I buy the car.
Is there a way I can buy the car and drive it away without her being present? The BCA website indicates not, but I would rather she didn't have to take the day off work just for the sake of a signature.

I have a Peugeot 306 2.0 HDI. Since November it has been to the different Peugeot dealers because of the Engine Diagnostic light coming on, the symptoms are simple, but intermittent. When the light comes on, the engine shut down; sometimes it doesn?t stop immediately, but stops. I just turn the key to the off position, wait 3 or 4 sec and start again without problem.
First time the Peugeot dealer advises me to change battery connectors and the diesel filter, and if it wouldn?t fix the problem I should change the injector n°2 and n°3 because the computer was accusing them. After connectors and filter changed the problem was still persisting.
I went to 3 different garages and none of them could give me a properly diagnostic.
I tried a trick to test the injector instead of change straight as they asked me. I switched the injectors n°2 and n°3 for the n°1 and n°4. But the computer was stills accusing the injectors n°2 and n°3. CONCLUSION, IT IS NOT THE INJECTOR.
The last garage stayed with the car for days and after drive with the diagnostic computer inside the car they arrived in this situation.
The computer of the car registers the following error:
Fugitive defect. Injector 2. Cost-circuit between two wires.
Fugitive defect. Injector 3. Cost-circuit between two wires.
The problem doesn?t happen all the time, the car stayed almost 2 months without stop and then stops again.
Any ideas? Help would be appreciated.
Many thanks, Read more
Hi there,
i would like to hear an opinion different to what i have heard in the garage today as i got realy upset, my megane, end of 97yrs, has been threatened with a 900gbp bill.
the car drives perfect and i absolutelly loving it, however this horrible noise appeared at the front , considered wheel bearing, have replaced one as per advise at garage. however noise didnt disappear, guys at the garage blamed faulty bearing and replaced it again under warranty, it obviosly didnt help. today i was told it is DIF which is making the noise and they have to take apart gear box, etc, rebuild everything which may increase total costs to 900gbp. i am not prepared to spend that much money on such an old car (just under 80000miles). two points, shall i drive until it dies and if its safe or shall i look for second oppinion. has anybody had simmilar problem?
many many thanks!!

Had posted this before. I noticed that as the Manheim auction I visit is now online. Traders in the hall step back at their limit then a lot of bids come in from the internet. I imagine this had a lot to do with the prices appearing to me to be a lot higher these days.
