Hi! My pt is 4yrs and 4 mths old, mileage 16,000. I was driving this morning and to my horror, the clutch started to play up. Felt like a lot of travel, and was impossible to select a new gear. Stopped and started the engine, pumped the pedal a few times, sometimes the gear crunched in sometimes not. The clutch is not engaging properly and either crunches in or not at all. Dang! Anyone had a problem? Any guidance? Anyone know what I am in for when it hits the dealer next week :-(
Thanks for any info!

Hi
Yes it is hydraulic and I would check the fluid level the 04 should have a reservoir next the brake reservoir but smaller and set back a little. If low look for a damp patch at the bottom of the gearbox as if the slave is leaking this is where you will see it. I am afraid it is gearbox out to replace and if it has got low it could be best to change the master and slave at the same time, as they are a nightmare to bleed and some come pre filled so it just plugs together. As the gearbox has to come out it is then up to you if you want to replace the clutch at the same time if it is getting warn/ high mileage. This maybe need anyway if fluid has leaked on it (but this doesn?t normally happen)
Father in law needs a new heater fan for his 2002 Citroen dispatch 2.0Hdi. Citrioen are quoting £460 for the part Eurocarparts are £160. Can anyone suggest anywhere else we could get one from.
Thanks,

Good Afternoon, I've been following this forum since July last year, but not actually posted anything. I am currently contemplating doing the pass plus scheme having passed my driving test yesterday.
The reasons why I am not sure about it is that, I am currently in my forth year of five at university and won't be purchasing a car until I am in full time work. Also I hold a full Category A license which I passed in April of last year and I am an associate member of IAM on a motorcycle. So I am not really sure if its worth it.
So the question is Pass Plus or not to Pass Plus?
Cheers

When my younger son passed his driving test, the additional merit of Pass Plus was that it slashed his insurance premium by hundreds of pounds.
Is there any way of raising the ride height of the avensis. I love hte car, but I am a farm consultant and keep popping the front bumper off the car when it goes down a dip, or hits a rut in a farm drive. I do not want to go to the expense of buying an audi allroad or volvo cross country, but would just like to raise the toyota.
Can anyone help? Read more
Unfortunately this isn't really a practical proposition, the only thing i can suggest is to remove the lower chin spoiler from the bumper (if it has one), but this will only gain half inch or so in height. There are sadly no kits that I am aware of to raise the actual ride height of the car.
On the school run this morning, we found ourselves behind a small Citroen van, labelled 'Nemo', which amused us. My 10-year old immediately wanted to know if it had one wing mirror bigger than the other... Read more
Indeed PU. Also the captain of the Nautilus in Jules Verne's "Twenty thousand leagues under the sea"
Edit - that is to say, it wasn't the same bloke......

I am not sure if this is a lazy pump or its just a simple adjustment, my screenwash spray only covers half the windscreen where my dads does 80% of it. Is this an MOT failure and what is the fault likely to be?
Both nozzles do it the same there dosn't appear to be any blockage because the water that comes out seems quite powerful, it just dosn't spray high enough. I cannot see how the nozzles can be adjusted though?
Thanks Read more
Done it now, the pin trick worked perfectly thanks! Tuned it so it covers the entire windscreen without spraying off it.
With all the salt that has been on the roads this winter, I have elected to merely (low) power wash the salt from the body and underside of my new car. On a couple of occasions I have also used a wash and wax in the power washer, but just to soak the dirt off. I have consciously not used any cloth etc on the paintwork as I felt that doing this in a hurry on a freezing cold day on a car thick with grit would do more harm than good to the paint. Because I did this regularly, the car cleaned up pretty well. However, I am mindful that some road grime may have become trapped under a thin layer of wax. When the weather improves, it will get a thorough wash and wax and I want to ensure that any trapped dirt is removed. What is the best way to ensure this, will a prewash help? Read more
Twas cold as could be yesterday but glad to see some sunshine as they're about
to get washed today as they do every week except maybe during the summer>>
Despite what I may have said earlier here, I have just been outside (well an hour or so ago) and used my hose-fed brush and it took no time at all to remove, admittedly, not a motorway dirtied car. A bucket filled with nice warm/hot water was used to rinse, regularly, the Autoglym synthetic 'leather' and the car was dried off quickly with the help of the stiffening NW breeze, that has sprung up.
As an aside, I would suspect that people who have their cars 'professionally' valeted or subject them to those pressure washers, are not car lovers in the sense that I am.
I will always maintain that a pressure washer is not the thing to use on a car where there are soft vulnerable seals etc. In any case my Karcher is not a wheelable machine and in this cold weather it would take an age to set it up and tog myself up in order to use it - not that I would, I reiterate.
Snipped. Too many instances of you mentioning this product in your other posts, which suggests to me that you're somehow connected with the product rather than just being a happy customer.
Happy to discuss with you by email, should you wish to dispute?

As above. Could be a clogged heater matrix or just air in the system. Try disconnecting the top heater hose with the engine running and wait until water with no air bubbles comes through.
