Should I get legal cover packaged with my insurance policy?

My insurance brokers, with whom I have been dealing for many years and who usually provide cover for our vehicles, always offer 'Legal Protection' at an additional cost of just under £20. Is it worth having as I gather it will only come to one's defence in non-blameworthy cases?

Better to go independent so the protection represents you rather than your insurer. Have a look at www.autolaw.co.uk
