Fiddler and Leak

I have taken my TT twice to an excellent local garage because the footwell carpet keeps getting wet. The second time they replaced a seal where the air con comes through as per VAG club website (although I couldn't find anything about TTs specifically). This worked for 3 months. I seem to remember reading about this sort of problem in your column before but can't remember any detail.

The pollen filter is in the bulkhead vent well over the passenger’s feet.
If the vent well drains get blocked then rainwater will come in via the
pollen filter seals. But it can also enter if the waterproof cover over
the pollen filter has not been put back properly (a very fiddly job) or is
cracked. This advice comes from direct experience.
