Are Ford intending to produce a Focus hybrid in the near future?

There's a mild-hybrid version of the Focus due in 2020. This will feature a starter-generator, which will recuperate energy under braking, charging a 48-volt battery which can assist the car's engine or help run electrical components. It's not a 'proper' hybrid, though, and won't be able to travel under electric power alone. Therefore, efficiency gains will be minimal.
