Lexus reveals prices for the CT200h

Lexus has revealed prices and specifications for the new CT200h, the model which will introduce full hybrid power to the UK's small luxury car market. On the road pricing starts at £23,485 for the entry-level SE-I model inclusive of VAT at 20 per cent with orders being taken now for delivery in early 2011.

Three equipment grades are available - SE-I, SE-L and SE-L Premier with all models coming with 16 inch or 17 inch alloy wheels, a six-speaker audio system, a USB port, Bluetooth, active brake lights, dual-zone climate control, push button start, LED daytime running lights, rear privacy glass and rain-sensing wipers.

The SE-L costs £25,200 and adds leather upholstery, heated front seats plus front and rear parking sensors. The top version is the SE-L Premier which will set you back a rather hefty £30,635 but does come very well equipped with LED headlights with cleaning system, cruise control, an electrochromic auto-dimming rear view mirror, smart entry system, electrically adjustable front seats with lumbar support, retractable auto-dimming door mirrors, a 13-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, HDD satellite navigation, rear parking monitor (in rear view mirror) and remote touch control.

For all CT200h models, customers can choose between the 16 inch alloy wheels, optimised for a refined and comfortable driving experience, and the 17in alloy wheels, for more agility and dynamic appeal.

Lexus has aimed to keep ownership costs kept low thanks to the high fuel efficiency and low emissions of the Lexus Hybrid Drive powertrain which produces 94g/km of CO2, meaning the CT200h earns a Band A rating for Vehicle Excise Duty - hence a zero annual road tax bill and a 10 per cent Benefit-in-Kind charge for company car tax payers.
