Can I clean my blocked DPF with Mr Muscle oven cleaner?

Is it okay to clean the DPF filter with Mr Muscle oven cleaner and then put it back? It’s a lot cheaper than replacing it but does it do the job? I have a Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 DTi that’s done 120,000 miles and is a 2005 registration.

I would recommend you definitely don't try that. Firstly, it can remove the interior coating of the filter, stopping future regenerations from working effectively. Replacing your DPF will be far more expensive than getting it cleaned. Secondly, oven cleaner can break down the carbon into ash, but it won't remove it altogether. Leave these things to the professionals.
