Jaguar XF injector problems

We bought a 2011 Jaguar XFR from a main dealer five months ago. Yesterday, the oil warning light came on and the car started blowing out smoke. It was towed to a local garage and I've been told it needs a new injector at a cost of £1014.

We have a named components warranty, but injectors are not included. The car has only done 30,000 miles and has been well maintained. Is there anything we can do to claw back some of the repair bill from the main dealer? Or could this have been caused by contaminated petrol?

The Jaguar dealer you bought the car from is liable for any faults that could have been present or developing on date of sale for 6 months from date of sale. So back to him. If the problem was caused by bad petrol from the filling station then it's up to the Jaguar dealer to prove it and you then take action against the filling station.
