Buying a used Citroen C4 Grand Picasso - petrol or diesel?

I need an MPV for multiple children carrying to replace my beloved but ageing Citroen C8. However, our journeys are mainly short - often much less than 30 miles. I'd like to get a C4 Grand Picasso petrol, but I can't find any in my £10,000 budget. Should I persevere with my search for a suitable petrol example or can I get a diesel?

Go for a diesel and you will eventually have DPF have problems. All manufacturers are now offering petrol alternatives, but in the £10k used price range they weren't. A C-Max 1.6 Ecoboost 150 is probably a good idea.
