Issue with the electronics on my new Golf SV - what are my options?

I bought a new Golf SV 1.4 in May 2014. Almost since new I have had issues with the electronics and in particular error mesages relating to Aadptive Cruise Control and system warning lights to say its developed a fault. The selling agent told me to contact my local dealer. My local Volkswagen dealer has had the car three times and failed to find a fault. They are about to take it for three weeks to try and diagnose the issue but I am concerned it will never be properly fixed. What are my options if Volkswagen are unable to fix it?

You need to get in touch with the dealer that sold you the car once again and then confirm the problem in writing in a letter addressed to the dealer principal of the selling dealer, sent by post office special delivery. Keep the certificate of posting and staple it to a copy. Really the car needs to go back to the selling dealer to be fixed.
