Discounted discount

The prices at Motorpoint.co.uk seem very good at, for example, £8,000 for a 2008 Vauxhall Astra 1.8 Sri VVT 5 door. I know they do part exchange. However I do not have a vehicle to p/x. Would it be reasonable to expect to be able to negotiate a discount from the £8k asking price? If so, what would be a realistic discount to aim for?

No. Motorpoint’s prices are pared to the bone. They would only be reduced if they found the car was sticking at the price and could not sold.
